The ship dock is there as well as the convention center, and many visitors to the city find this to be an area worth a visit.   The public library of Vancouver is located in this district as well as the Pacific Center Regional Shopping Mall. The first high class neighborhood in Vancouver is now called the West End.  This area was settled in the late 1890′s, and was at first the district where many of the successful merchants built their homes.  Unfortunately, many of these homes were torn down in the 1950′s giving way to high rises and sky scrapers.  However, many are still standing and they are surrounded by many parks and lush gardens as well as many pristine beaches.  Stanley Park is a favorite of locals and tourists alike.

What ever it is you need is found here on the city’s West End.  Bookstores sit aside old and family run restaurants.  And the simple things, such as the tree lined streets and the mix of architecture make this a very charming neighborhood in which to set up residence.  Throughout the city you will find this mix.  Traditional in the midst of urban, the modern set right down in a traditional setting.  By finding a location run by TransGlobe, you will know that you have found a home.
