Texas Star Ferris Wheel and Fair Park in Dallas
The three largest states in the United States are Alaska, Texas, and California, but only Texas has North America’s largest Ferris wheel. The Texas Star Ferris Wheel was originally constructed in Italy, making its debut in Dallas, Texas, at the 277-acre complex known as Fair Park in 1985. It requires over 15 employees to run the Texas Star, and the mammoth wheel lifts riders approximately 20 stories high. It’s possible for riders at the top of the wheel to see over forty miles on a clear day, all the way to the downtown Fort Worth skyline.
Fair Park originated as part of the Dallas State Fair over 120 years ago, in 1886. It became a part of the Texas Centennial Exposition in 1936, and a six month redesign effort turned it into a prime example of Art Deco architecture. The exposition drew in approximately six million visitors. The park’s exposition buildings, some which were intended to be temporary, are restored today and the entire park became a National Historic Landmark in 1986.
If you’ve chosen to stay overnight in a hotel, Dallas offers many fine attractions, many of which may be found at Fair Park. In addition to the Texas Star, travelers and tourists will find nine museums here, six performance venues, and a lagoon. Concentrated in one space, you’ll find such museums as the Museum of the American Railroad, The Women’s Museum: An Institute for the Future, the African American Museum, the Museum of Nature and Science, as well as Fair Park Band Shell, Texas Discovery Gardens , the Dallas Aquarium, and the Cotton Bowl.
Use Property Management Services to Turn Your Old Home Into a Rental Home
People move around often and it is said that the average American will purchase around seven properties in their lifetime. While it is probably true that some of these should be let go and handed off to the next person, some of these should be held onto and turned into rental properties. This is because there are plenty of people who would rather rent than buy because they know they are not planning on living in the area long. Taking advantage of this is a good financial idea.
One reason many people don’t do this is because they are often not sure they can keep the place in order while they are out of the state. This means that people will try to sell the place instead of hiring a company to take care of it for them like TransGlobe Property Management . Some people do this because they would rather have the money right away and others do it because they don’t know that they can hire someone else to do this.
It is pretty easy to do. What you need to do is, instead of selling the current house you are living in, refinance it . Use that money to put the down payment on the next house you intend to buy, and turn the first house into a rental. Then you hire a company with a good REIT like Transglobe Property Management Services. REIT stands for Real Estate Investment Trust and it shows how well the company is doing. The more money and property a company has, the more likely they are to do good by your property.
Minneapolis Poodle Club
There are many upper crust institutions in the Twin Cities that can give out of town guests a high time on the town. It’s one of the most exciting places in the country, with a high quality of life that makes for some wonderfully entertaining places to enjoy the fruits of one’s labor. Whatever ‘Midwestern tastes’ might happen to mean anywhere else, here it means an excellent sense of style and culture. There are plenty of excellent restaurants and pubs near the five star hotels Minneapolis has to offer, making it possible to have a truly spectacular evening.
For local flavor, however, it might take a little more exploring, although it never takes long before something enchanting comes along. To get deep into the local culture, however, it usually takes a friend or two to recommend the cool spots in town. For a night at a working class pub where there’s karaoke and darts, it’s hard to beat the Poodle Club. It’s on Minneapolis’ historic Lake Street , in the strip just before the road turns into the bridge crossing the Mississippi River connecting the Twin Cities.
This is a great place to spend an evening with close friends. It’s big enough to get a booth, and small enough to cozy up on the cold evenings, and there are plenty of those here. It’s also got the most ironic generation of karaoke singers in the country perhaps, on either side of the Mississippi.
Having an Ostomy Procedure Doesn’t Mean You’ll Never be Active Again
An Ostomy is a surgical procedure that creates an artificial opening for the elimination of bodily wastes. This is a radical procedure for most people and makes them feel as if they can no longer enjoy the life they are accustomed to, but nothing could be further from the truth. With planning, practice and the right Ostomy supplies , most activities such as swimming, running a marathon and traveling by air are very doable.
With travel, just make sure to keep your Ostomy supplies in a cool place. Don’t limit yourself, traveling is a big adjustment, but manageable. Drink plenty of water, flying can leave you dehydrated, and it’s important to keep your digestive system in optimum order.
The only other obstacle a new Ostomy patient may run into is finding their spouse is unwilling to deal with the need to change out the pouch on a regular basis. They’ll probably run out of the room every time. But, with patience on your part and knowledge on their part about how the new state-of-the-art Ostomy supplies work, and what takes place while changing the pouch such as wiping, powders, wafers and how they all keep everything very clean and mess free, most spouses begin to ease their fears and develop an appreciation about just how the Ostomy and the daily Ostomy supplies have not interfered with the quality of life you have always had together.
